Girls Gymnastics Teams

Gymnastics is widely regarded as one of the most beneficial sports in the development of flexibility, coordination, balance, strength and kinesthetic awareness. InterActive Academy provides a safe, fun, challenging and rewarding environment for learning. At IA we have 2 girls team options. Our Girls' Competitive Team offers a traditional route through the USAG Compulsory and Optional Jr Olympic Program. We also offer USAG's Xcel Program.

Joining a Team
Placement on one of the InterActive Academy Gymnastics teams is by evaluation and invitation. Gymnasts from our recreational program or other gyms may request an evaluation for placement on our team. Group evaluations/placements take place in the Spring. Evaluations may be requested during the compeititive season, however, placement at that time is not guaranteed. Girls Team (Junior Olympic)

The Junior Olympic program was developed with the belief that all athletes, regardless of their potential, must have a solid foundation of basic skills in order to advance safely.

Gymnasts in the Junior Olympic Program advance through 10 levels based on requirements from USAG. Our Level 1 and 2 is considered preteam and do not compete. Level 3-5 is the Compulsory levels, where each level competes the same routines. Level 6 and up are the Optional levels which compete individual routines.

Our gymnasts are required to practice a specific number of hours per week and compete in 6-8 meets per year.

Xcel Team

The Xcel program was designed for the gymnast that may not be able to put in the hours, lack JO required skills, or want a more relaxed competitive experience. Gymnasts may choose the number of hours (4 min.) per week. Each gymnast competes routines based on their skill level.

The Xcel Program consists of 5 Levels:
Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond
